Sic Bo

sic bo

Sic Bo is one of the games that people play at casinos. Once China’s best kept secret, it is now played at casinos worldwide. Also, it has now made its way to online casinos, and has been lucrative for people to play on. It is also referred to as Dai Siu, Tai Sai, Hi-Lo or Big and Small.

This game is like the more familiar roulette. However, instead of a wheel, you have three dice that are thrown, and reflect different numbers on top that would show what you won.

Playing Sic Bo Online

This game is quite easy to learn but it can be frustrating to learn. Playing the game goes like this:

  • Put your bets by placing chips on areas with the outcome you’d like.
  • The dealer will shake three dice inside a tiny chest, and the random outcomes will appear.
  • You will win for every number or sum you have predicted and will lose if wrong

Big and Small Bets

  • These are the most basic bets, and pay 1 to 1.
  • The small bet is betting on the dice sum being between 4 and 10
  • The big bet is when the sum being between 11 and 17.
  • However, if a triple sum, or three dice with same numbers (e.g.3-3-3) appear, you will lose.

Other Sums Bets

  • You could also choose to bet on the sums of the numbers that appear on the dice. The numbers you could bet on range from 4-17.
  • Varying sums mean different winning possibilities. The table is shown below:

Single Dice Bet

  • Here, you bet on one number appearing on one, two or all of the three dice.
  • Any number between 1-6 could be selected.
  • The payout is 3:1 for appearances on three dice, 2:1 for appearances on two dice, and 1:1 for one dice.

Double and Triple Bets

  • Either of this is the bet you make when you have a feeling that two of the ice will have the same number.
  • This bet will have a payout of 10:1. However, there is a 7.4 percentage of getting a correct answer.
  • Triple bets are bets that the dice will have the same three numbers. If it is right, the payout is 30:1
  • A specific trio of numbers could also be bet on, but the odds will be worse in this case.

Two Dice Combination Bets

  • This is also known as the domino bet or two dice combination betarea
  • Betting on this pays 5:1

Variants of Sic Bo

There are other dice-based games similar to Sic Bo , which differ in treatment. In Grand Hazard, which originated in England, dice are rolled with a cup or thrown down a chute with inclined planes, tumbling the dice. Three dice with the same outcome is known as raffles: it pays 18:1.

Chuck-a-luck on the other hand, is a variant in the US and also derives from Grand Hazard. The dice are kept in a contraption which looks like a wire cage. This cage is then rotated, with the dice coming at the bottom. Unlike Sic Bo, this only features the single number wagers, with an additional wager for any triple, or three of a kind dice, with odds of 30 to 1.

Experience Sic Bo in the Comfort of Your Home

Many gaming providers have created their versions of Sic Bo, with an Asian audience in mind. Live casinos have dealers that help people play the game. They also allow you to move your chips easily over the table, and move in real before time runs out. The video streaming is also smooth and does not buffer; rather it adjusts to your screen when you play it.

What’s more, some Sic Bo have “super iterations”, which add multipliers to certain bets before the dice settle. If you bet on these, your winnings will grow more than usual, earning you more real money than ever before.
